Within the United Monarchie of Great Britaine, Ireland, and the Islands adjacent, with the dissolved Monastries therein contained their founders, and what eminent Persons baue beene in the same interred.
As also the death and buriall of certaine of the Blood Royall, the Nobilitie and Gentrie of these Kingdomes entomed in insorraine Nations.
A worke revieuing the dead memory of the Royall Progenie, the Nobilitie, Gentrie, and Communaltie, of these his Majesties Dominions.
Intermixed and illustrated with variety of Historicall observations, annotations, and briefe notes, extracted out of Approved Authors, Infallable Records, Lieger Bookes, Charters, Rolls, Old Manuscripts, and the Collections of judicious Antiquaries.
Whereunto is prefixed a Discourse of Funerall Monuments. Of the Foundation and Fall of Religious Houses, Of Religious Orders, Of the Ecclesiasticall estate of England. And of other occurrences touched upon by the way, in the whole passage of these intended labours.

John Weever (1576–1632) was an English antiquary and poet. He is best known for his Epigrammes in the Oldest Cut, and Newest Fashion (1599), containing epigrams on Shakespeare, Ben Jonson, and other poets of his day, and for his Ancient Funerall Monuments, the first full-length book to be dedicated to the topic of English church monuments and epitaphs, which was published in 1631, the year before his death.
