This is an early copy of this classic book on hunting. It is hard backed fully leather bound in calf and the spine is profusely decorated with gilt in each segment between the ridges. The front has a double line of gilt around it and impressed decoration. Even the edges of the boards are decorated with gilt cross banding at the corners. The end papers are marbled and so are the page edges. The book is illustrated with beautiful engravings by the famous engraver, Scott after the equally famous artist James Barrenger.
There is also a pull out plan for stables.
